Default Magico A1

Anyone here see the new Magico A1 in person? I can't find any pictures of the back of the speaker and Magico doesn't yet have much information on their website. Trying to find out if it's a sealed or ported design.

According to the description, it is a sealed enclosure. One way or anther, it's a fine looking speaker. I would think these would sound amazing in a small sound where nearfield listening is the way to go.

".....along with the most advanced damping materials makes the sealed enclosure incredibly rigid and free of unwanted mechanical resonances."

I missed where it said sealed enclosure. Thanks! Did you see a frequency response spec?

No, did some looking around but didn't see that posted anywhere either.

You're probably going to need to go to Ca. for that at this point until they become available to all dealers.

I want to add this as FRONT WIDE in Dolby Atmos 9.1.6 set up.
My side and back are S1 and S1.5 and if possible I will hang them
for the ceiling channel too, with some kind of suitable hardware.
What I worried are that do these baby have high enough power handling?
I will cut it off at 80-100Hz, And Also will A1 voice matched to the existing S1 and S1.5 ?
Or I should sale S1 and S1.5 at huge loss and buy 3 pairs of A1 instead ?

For the record all Magico's (save their giant horns 'experiment') are sealed enclosures. I heard the A1s about a week ago - very nice.

I just heard these at a local dealer and they sounded amazing. I am sure part of it was running on a high end Nagra system, but they still sounded great. I went with my wife and she kept asking me if those were the only two speakers on in the room. Yes they were, they just sound huge. They did run a lot of the demo with subwoofers on (two big REL's), but even when they were turned off the A1's sounded amazing. They played the same SRV track with and without the subs and, although the subs filled the bottom half octave, both sounded equally big.

I thought they were very revealing too. You could here the different positions of the instruments in the symphony pieces (strings left of center, horns right of center). I am pretty sure at one point on a piano piece I could hear when the musician was pressing the foot pedals. They put some classic rock on at the end and you could tell the difference in the recording qualities and even the quality difference of different tracks on the same songs. Great stuff!
