Thanks, Bradley. I pulled the HT bypass balanced interconnects through the ceiling tonight and moved things around to create a space for the two channel rack. I thought I was excited before, but that clear spot on the wall has me going crazy.
 I have been building this system using a technique that is either silly, smart or dumb luck. I bought the speakers after an audition where I heard just how good they could sound (ARC tube gear and a TT). I then read myself blue trying to determine what gear I wanted to drive them with. Although not an engineer, I was very attracted by the design features of the BAT gear. I bought the first piece without hearing it first, liked it enough to buy the other two. Now for cables, I am again buying based on design features, without hearing them first, but also relying on the opinions of people whom I respect. Is that crazy? Maybe, but it is a better bet than Vegas. Beside, I lead a very conservative life, so I need to gamble on my hobby just to stay sane.

Pete, thanks. I would love to sequence the changes in a way that allowed me to compare the effects, but that is going to be hard. Since the gear is being moved, it will not run at all without the 4 meter interconnects and the new speaker wire. Maybe I could try PC's first, where the gear currently sits, then add the interconnects where it sits, then the whole shebang after it is moved.

The loom arrived today and is installed. I had wanted to add a piece at a time and listen for differences, but two things conspired against me. Work is really eating up my time and the kluge installation I had in place made swapping anything a real problem.
I finally elected to just move things once and get it over with. Wrestling 150 pound amps is not a good idea at my age. I am pleased to report that I got it right on the first install. Now I am going through the hell of "burn in." Any idea how long interconnects and speaker cables need?

Randy.......I believe your cables will arrive at the permanent sonic signature in about 25 to 50 hours of use. Everything will settle down fairly quickly. You will appreciate the improved clarity and openness before you have time to worry about break in.
