Default XLF now on display in Dallas

Local Wilson dealer in Dallas just launched the XLF tonight, which will remain setup in their store ongoing. Wow those babies are huge!

Fun event they hosted, getting to hear them for a bit. Can't wait to bring in music and audition 1:1 when there's more time. Dreams.

Hi Marc, no wamm, was the XLF. It's nice to see a pair set up and available to audition here in Dallas. For me it was the first time seeing in person.

Ok, you used the word "launch", which threw me off. The XLF has been around for some time. I've seen and heard it at RMAF, and loved it.

Same here. It was a a very impressive audition with the Alexandria XLF being driven by the ARC GS150. Peter McGrath had a few pieces recorded in Miami that really highlighted the strengths of the XLF.

They are relatively a very efficient speaker. The needles of the GS150 barely got to 30% at times. I loved that amp! Like the XLF, it's massive.

All digital tonight. No vinyl.

I thought the high bass was very dynamic, fast, and tight. I thought the low bass might have seemed a little boomy at times. I wanted to ask Peter about Stillpoints, but didn't get an opportunity.

The amazing thing to me was that as massive as these speakers are, they pretty much just disappeared in the room. Peter made the point that they were only 14 inches from the rear wall and didn't require half the room to set up.

It was an enjoyable evening. The XLFs sounded great. The GS150 is impressive - larger than I expected and sounded terrific.

Good to meet Bill and Larry there. Sorry I did not get a chance to meet you Ryan.

From ports where closed. I did not look behind the speaker.
