I'm listening to Liz Story with Joel Di Bartolo this morning on the MCD1100 in the main system. I love the recording, and have played it at least 120 times, so I am very familiar with every note. On the MCD1100, Liz's piano chords, and single notes sound the most like true piano sounds that I have ever experienced. Joel's acoustic double bass has that wonderful wood tone texture that emanates from a real acoustic bass when the strings are plucked. The nuances of the leading edge bass string sounds when they are first plucked are clear and true. The vibrating wood of the instrument's supporting harmonics comes through perfectly. As many times as I have enjoyed this recording, Liz Story with Joel Di Bartolo has never sounded better than it sounds this morning on the MCD1100. What an amazing player.
