Hi Flemming,

Unfortunately, the review isn't yet in the public domain, so you'll need to purchase the magazine in a hard or soft form, or else wait until it's publicly available.

I've attached a screenshot of pages 1&2 but resolution is obviously a bit limited.

Fwiw, the review is pretty good, so I'm now looking forward to a private audition at the local dealer sometime soon.

Cheers,
Art

As well as the expected improvements in bass control & slightly augmented bass extension, perhaps more of a surprise was a better balanced presentation overall.

The Sopra No. 3's replay of the upper registers, which some have found on the Sopra No. 2's to be a tad on the 'bright', 'excitable', 'hot' or 'strident' side(especially with the playback of some digital media), seemed to draw less attention to itself & sounded better integrated with their performance of the mid & lower ranges.

I'll be able to confirm my first thoughts once i get to hear the Sopra No. 3's alongside the B&W802 D3's.

Regards.

Bobby.
I agree with this as I found my Sopra No.2 sounding this way sometimes I would even go as far as saying I thought maybe my pre-amp was choking the sound a bit but, when I got my Sopra No.3 it was a night and day difference in sound, like everything opened up x's 100. To me the No.2's fall at the top tier in the Focal Aria,Electra and Sopra class where the No.3 clearly I think are well within the Scala V2 Utopia class.Personally I would not pair both with nothing less than a NAP 300DR since they were voiced with that amp and you clearly here the synergy not to mention I had a NAP 250DR prior on them and It held them back.I also noticed when I put the NAP 300DR on my No.2's I was starting to think my N272 was the weak link now and holding back the music but once I swapped out them for the No.3's it was mind blowing how the music sounded, could be the placement of the drivers higher up with the tweeter and mid woofer towering over you idk but damn there elegant, and do your self the trouble and pass on the No.2's and save for the No.3's.....btw my system consist of,

NAC N-272
NAP 300DR
Super Lumina SL 3m
Powerlines
Sopra No.3
Hubbell HBL5262
stock Wiremold powerstrip w/Wattgate 5266i

Hi greekspec2
Thank you very much for you view and explaining what you hear. I " unfortunately " had that impression, but as i told listening to 2 different setups and 2 different listening rooms can make a big difference and then i becomes hard to be sure.
I was really impressed with the Sopra No.3

Default Webzine Review

Hello. I found this webzine review for the Sopra 3 featured in The Ear. As an owner of these speakers, I have similar opinions as the article. I have solid state McIntosh gear driving the speakers. The image and soundstage produced are solid, and I do not find the sessions fatiguing after heavy listening. I also find the speakers will bring out the details of both high quality musical media as well as poorly produced musical media. Here is the webzine review...

First post..

Can anyone compared side by side scala v2 and sopra 3?

Some people saying that sopra is better. Is this possible?
