Atma-Sphere Mk3.1 lineup from EnjoytheMusic.com
From EnjoytheMusic.com
Atma-Sphere, a multi-award winning manufacturer of tune amplification products, has announced their Mk3.1 lineup. The Mk3.1 represents a dramatic reduction of full-power distortion due to circuit revisions in the voltage amplifier, as Atma-Sphere amplifiers have only one gain stage in the entire amplifier regardless of model. This reduced distortion translates to smoother sounding while at the same time enhances transparency, provides more detailed and produces a wider bandwidth. There have been other revisions as well, as the M-60 now has a more robust chassis construction. The S-30, M-60 and MA-1 now have panel color options for the meter panel. Meanwhile the MA-2 now has a revised appearance more in keeping with the other amplifiers in the line, with a completely new power transformer set. The S-30 is now available in two versions, which includes the standard type and a low-gain version designed especially for high efficiency loudspeakers where excess amplifier gain is always an issue. Below are the specifics: S-30 Mk.III ($3890) * 30 watts/ch into 8-Ohm load/45 watts into 16-Ohm load * Power bandwidth: 2Hz to 75kHz within 1/2dB * Frequency response (1 watt): 1 Hz-100 KHz within 3 dB * THD typically 1% at full power * IM distortion typically under .04% at full power * Phase shift: less than 1 degree @ 20KHz * Input impedance: 100K single-ended, 200K balanced * Output section risetime: 600V/micro-sec. * Stability: stable with all loads and inputs * Feedback: 2dB * Power consumption: 400 watts * Tube complement: Ten 6AS7G output tube and six 6SN7 driver tube * Dimensions: 13" L x 17" W x 8" H M-60 Mk.
