Default Dynaudio C1

I have started my Dynaudio journey since 2010 with a pair of Focus 110 and today I finally got my hands on a pair of C1!

I believe I heard a pair at
HK's house a couple of years ago. Pretty nice sounding and looking.

Yes, it's a fun and fast speaker. The clarity and speed is refreshing. I am wow by the sweet highs, depth of the soundstage and micro details yet never harsh.

The bass is taut, controlled, and never over power in a small space. The mid bass is full and has the punch to match with when playing large scale orchestra.

GE is different, has a glow in mid tones, surprisingly goes deeper and a balance high. They are both a pleasant speakers to own and enjoy.

I heard Dynaudio takes time to run in so shall wait and see how it will performs months later.

Cheers!

I heard these speakers yesterday here in Japan. Going price about 1,100,000 yen. Pushed by the Accuphase 600 integrated class A. Honestly did not do much for me. Matter of fact just never had much luck with this brand. With that said, dynaudio always seem to come up in conversation when matched with Simaudio. Any experience with the Sim/dynaudio combo?

I sold my C1 speakers in my office system for a pair of Evolution Acoustics MMicro 1's.
I am sure you are thrilled in getting yours and do not want to disrespect your choice.
But the MM1's blew the C1's away in every audio aspects.
Mine are set up in a near field lay out at my desk.

Hi Harris4crna, no I have not tried the Sim/Dyna combo but yes I have seen quite a few online. With the right amplifier the C1 does make some good tunes~

Hey Fro, no disrespect and I respect your opinions I have not heard the evolution acoustics MMMincroOne but there are quite a few good review online and all that for about 2500. Sure is a great bargain!

This C1 is different...I am still exploring

The reason people find C1's lacking or they decide to sell them is because they've never given them the juice they need.I drive mine with Pass Labs X250.5 which doubles to 500
in to 4 ohms. These speakers come alive in dynamics and bass when driven properly..I went from a Simaudio I7 to a tubed pre/Simaudio W7 to now a Zesto Audio Leto/ X250.5.All of these were incremental improvements.
