I have a PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium HP Power Amp & PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium Pre-Amp fed from a Mytek Brooklyn DAC+. All tubes have been upgraded, KT150, Brimar 12AU7, Philips 5R4GYS, AudioQuest interconnects, and a Thunder Power Cable.

I picked up the Sopra No2 a few days ago, and connected them with Nordost Purple Flairs.

I was expecting something completely different from what I heard.

Rewind a couple days.....

The Sopra No2 sounded very full and accurate in the listening room where I auditioned them. I have never heard anything like them, if you closed your eyes you could swear the artist was in the room playing live. The room was perfectly treated, amps and speakers were fully broken in and perfectly placed. I knew once I got them in my room they wouldn't sound as good because they would be new. In addition, some of my tubes are also new. I figured I could supplement the bottom end with a pair of Rel subs I had laying around, and tame any harshness by running the amp in Triode mode.

I couldn't have been more wrong. My very first listening experience was an amazing experience. It was everything I could have hoped for, and more. The Bass is out of this world, they hit hard. They are detailed without being harsh, they are musical, they are full. And this is right out of the box! I am beyond thrilled with this purchase. I have no plans to connect the Rel's as they are not needed. Got the Sopra No2 brand new for 10K. Upscale Audio FTW!

Been driving my new Diablo Utopia IIIs in hot chocolate lacquer for a little more than a month with a simple Ayre stack of C-5xeMP, KX-5 Twenty, and VX-5 Twenty. I have a small 10 x 12 albeit dedicated listening room.

They were incredible out of the box but now are heavenly.

Upgraded to a pair of Sopra 2s in Dogato Walnut and am now burning them in slowly with a Luxman 590AXII.

I've really liked what I've heard so far.

Was driving them for 2 years with an NAD M22, they sounded great. As it was always supposed to be a temporary amp, I finally upgraded to McIntosh MC 462. It was definitely a solid upgrade. Both NAD and Mac both mesh well with these. The Mac just does it slightly better with more ease.

Nothing terribly special, but I plan to upgrade soon.
Do you have already any brands in mind for the Aria´s 936? I own the same speakers and I am delighted to the synergy to Moon (by Simaudio) amps!

Powering my Focal Sopra 1’s with a Classe Sigma 2200i integrated, Aurender N10, DCS Debussy DAC, and a little help from a JL Audio F112 subwoofer.

Powering my Sopra 2's with a McIntosh MC462. The sound is very clear. I am listening to my old CD's , Steely Dan, Sade, Dire Straits, Neil Young... its as if I'm hearing them for the first time.
