Very cool on having the original 7's. Any photos of your old set up you would like to share for us Aerial fans?

Yes I am, and could not be happier.
I always knew they were great, just took me a lot of trial and error to get the right cabling.

Probably have a slide or two from back then. But, will be a while until I would dig through my large box of a several thousand slides to find. If there is one thing that digital has done for photography is to make the search for an old pic much, much faster and easier.

Funny that we are so hardened by the lunatic inspried pricing in our hobby that we would consider a pair of $10,000 speakers to be "real bargains". No wonder that the "Bose Crowd" thinks us to be such nuts. (Noticed that when I found this post in "new posts" this morning, it appeared consecutive to another post extolling the beauty of a new pair of $300,000 Avalon speakers)

I can hear it now from some of our higher echelon high-end-ophile (and filthy rich) members "Heck I've got wires that cost that much!!!!"

Isn't is wonderful that you can get such great sound from such "cheap" speakers!

llcancado, I'm not sure if you're still thinking about the Aerial 7T but I have auditioned all of the speakers on your list as well as the Sonus Faber Elipsa. I just recently took delivery of new 7Ts and I can tell you that the 7T beats them all. Great dynamics, well balanced, not too clinical and not too warm. Spectacular imaging and soundstage.

The mids and highs are very detailed without being excessively clinical. These speakers are musical. Not like listening to studio monitors.

And they're not even broken in yet.

No need for a sub-woofer. Thunderous bass and I'm still running them on my receiver (Denon 4311). My new Perreaux 150i amp should be here soon.

Most of the other speakers I've heard have had some issue or another that made me think twice.

I wouldn't hesitate on recommending the 7T.

Terry

Julian.......If you weren't so accurate that would be funny. Seems I remember an extensive list of speakers that drifted through your ownership. Heck, the wood alone could have built an ark.
