I've seen many comments about dual subs with the 7ts. Maybe I'm naive - but really would appreciate the help from the forum. I'm not quite sure how I set that up. My Classe ssp800 only can configure a 2.1(or 2.2 I guess) via digital processing. The sound quality is much better to me in pure analogue. Thus , I have my 2 ch setup with source xlr to Classe pre/pro xlr to my pass stereo amp (soon to be monos) and of course speaker cable to the 7ts. My other question then is - once I understand how to include the sub in analogue - can I use just one? I have a very good JL fathom f113. I understand that the low end is basically mono anyway. The sub is place opposite side of the room as the 7ts. I really would be grateful for some instruction in (somewhat) layman terms. Thanks !!

I don't know anything about your pre, but yes, you can definitely start out with one sub and decide on more later. Stereo subs are by no means "required".

Thanks Marc, I figured as much. But other than splitting one of the xlr cables (pig tails) between the pre and amp, I don't know how to involve the sub in 2 ch analogue (no processing).

Don't you have an Xlr stereo line out? Just connect both channels to the f113, that's what I do.

Actually I spoke to Carl at Classe...he said if I want analogue, usuing my SSP800 - the only way is a "Y" cable.

I'm adding these speakers to my short list. Is my Mac MA8000 @ 300wpc a decent match?

A "Y" cable would do the trick and they do make some nice ones on order at WireWorld.

This is all from memory so don't kill the messenger. Press the menu button on the left of the touchscreen and go to system setup. Then to whatever configuration you have setup for 2 channel. In that configuration, you can access the subwoofer menu. You need to go to the "more" button on the top right hand side of the touchscreen. Go to auxiliary and activate the second output and configure it for a 2nd subwoofer. one cable in the subwoofer output, the other cable into the auxiliary output. It walks you thru all of this in the manual. You did read the manual?

Appreciate the help Sharp 1080. However that still yields a digital signal. I have that configured. It's "ok" but much sweeter running pure analogue in 2ch.
