I actually own all of them !
I have a CJ GAT preamp and a Premier 17LS preamp !
Kondo is way too expensive for the real world !

I think the 452 is covered by McIntosh's general approval here. Your vote for Benchmark will be noted, Im sure. I haven't heard the AHB2 but the reviews have been gushing.

I am curious over the Benchmark.... Their DAC3 HGC pre-amplifier DAC is simply amazing. Benchmark sales manager is trying to get me to try one. He keeps saying if I listen to it I will not return it. A perfect match to the DAC3 HGC for someone looking for purity.

I'm using the DAC2 HGC with the AHB2. I've used that combo with PSB synchrony one's, Vivid B1 and now Magico S1. Love It! Especially If you are using the Benchmark DAC3, just get the AHB2 and don't look back.
