Very different speakers, so you will have no problem preferring one to the other.
Lilium requires massive current to come alive, and you should try and hear them bi-amped if possible. Vitus could well suit them but you may need more than one. I have Futura, but have listened to the Lilium extensively with a similar system (but different room). |

Lilium and Amati Futura likes controlled Power to really sounds free and alive.
They are also better to match with equipment that is not so dark and soft. Lilium is a bit more open and detailed, Better control. Deeper bas. Bigger sound. They both can be pushed to deliver great sound with the right Equipment and acoustics. Never heard them with Vitus but i should work I Think.

I have spent time in front of both speakers. I own a pair of Amati's myself. I drive them with 601's. A colleague of mine owns the Liliums and he drives them with 1.2KW's.
For me the Amati's are the sweet spot in the SF range in terms of performance vs price. They perform to 90% of the Liliums at less than half the cost. They are one of the best speakers I have listen to in the sub 50K range. Glisse is correct in saying that they both like power but don't be afraid to try bi-amping them with a tube amp (mc275, maybe) on the tweeter. I would recommend staying with solid state for the low end. |
