Bob.......Yes, the Esoteric is designed and manufactured in Japan.

Right again, dCS also manufactures fabulous digital components. One of these days I'm going to make the trip up to Raleigh for a visit with Bob (vintage_tube) to audition his awesome sound system that includes his four stack dCS Vivaldi source.

Honestly, though, I can't imagine anything that would make me want to replace this fabulous Esoteric K-03. Price to performance ratio is off the chart.
