Wireworld owners pictures - how flexible are your cables?
Hello;
I was wondering if some of you Wire World owners would mind posting some pictures of your Wire World speaker cables in use, particluaraly the Eclipse/Silver Eclipse/Gold Eclipse/Platinum Eclipse and power cables? As a perspective buyer I'm trying to get an appreciation for how flexible or lack thereof they are compared to standard round cables. I'm just concerned that if they don't bend enough connecting and placing them behind the close quarters of my gear could be problematic. Thanks, Rod |

Depends on how you try to bend them. Side-to-side; no.
Top-to-bottom (creating a flat "loop"), no problem. Best to just have them precise-cut the lengths you need.

Ron, this should give you a good idea on the power cords...they are VERY flexible (as compared to others, anyway). I can't speak for the speaker cables, yet.
In the picture, below, you will see the twisted silver power cord into the rear of my CD player. At the very bottom, you see the black power connectors which come out of the REF Phono 2...probably pretty similar to what a traditional power could would do. Also, take note of the WW power cable going into the wall outlet...try doing that with some others. Actually, I didn't realize it was so contorted, but I just removed a bunch of cables, and it must have gotten moved in the process. FYI, these are Silver Electra 5.2 cords, I believe.

FYI, the one at the wall isn't quite as contorted as it appears in that other photo...here is a better representation of what it's doing:

...I hope you've fixed that errant cord seen from the front of your set-up, just the thought of seeing that again......

I have all WW power cords in my setup and they are the most flexible power cords I've ever used.

I have three WW power cords and they quite flexible and easy to dress; I use them in "non-mission critical" applications, e.g. for powering home theatre gear, TVs, blu-ray players as they provide good performance. They are a good-sounding PC which also have beautiful quality connectors and plugs. For mission-critical two-channel playback where sound quality is paramount, I use a Shunyata PCs (mostly Black Mambas and one Venom3), which in my experience, outperform the WW cords sonically. But the Shunyatas are quite a bit stiffer and MUCH harder to dress and snake through racks than the WW PCs, and can be an absolute bitch to work with at times, depending on the orientation of the plug to the IEC socket connector. They are also heavy and tend to pull on the IEC sockets more, which can be a problem if the component is higher up in the rack. But they really do sound fab, IMHO.
Regarding the IC's I have the Equinox 6 ICs which I think VERY highly of; they are reasonably flexible, but nowhere near as flexible and thin as my Zu Mission ICs. The WW Equinox 6s have beautiful, silver plated connectors, also. All in all, a KILLER IC for the money; one of my absolute faves.
