Bob, this is my dad's XA, I refurbished it a couple of years ago and made a new curly maple base for it. It's not exactly reference, but I still enjoy listening to it.

Oldest still used is a Tandberg 3001 FM tuner, which is >30 years old.
I also have a couple of Nakamichi cassette decks. The LX-5, which still works fine, and a 700ZXL which needs some work. |

I have a 1971 (or is it a 1972) Thorens TD-160 Belt-Drive Turntable.
Bought it three years ago off of eBay. I have since had it restored, and modified (got it repaired and restored, and then got a polished platter, and had a Jelco SA-750D arm installed on it). Contemplating getting a custom plinth made for it now. But now, I'm enjoying it in its current state. Being used with a Sumiko Blue Point Special EVO III Phono Cartridge. Otherwise, my KEF Reference 102 Speaker System (with KUBE) is 27 Years Old (bought them brand new in 1988, and are still using them. Currently driven by an Adcom GFA-545 MkII Power Amplifier (which is not that old..... amp was made in the early 1990's I believe)). --Charles-- Last edited by chaskelljr1963; 08-22-2015 at 02:03 PM. |

It is either my Thorens TD-160 or my Pioneer PL-50. Both are from around the same time but I don't know the date of manufacture of either.
