Yes, there is no doubt on this. I wouldn't use anything besides these two. If you do, you are probably leaving something on the table.

Edit: on second hand...a Ref40 would also be great. I wouldn't go with anything other than ARC for a preamp for an ARC power amp.

Another vote for the Reference 6......I would assume the synergy between those components would be spot on.

The Ref 6 would be just the ticket with the 160M's. I think you will be amazed at the combo.
