This forum is a seriously unhealthy place. Reading some of the comments is pushing me over the edge for a Mem Player which means a) no savings b) probably no wife or kids soon enough haha.

I2S to the DAC = perfection.

I2S => DSD DAC => Perfection (and they upgrade it every nine months or so, for free ...)

I've even found some of BluRay concerts play on the DS Transport. But I can't select the tracks. [emoji28]

Apparently there was a lack of standardization with BR audio so it is likely going to be less than perfect for those discs. They sound great though!

yes the Blu ray disc's sound great, easy fix, cheap Oppo 103 + Audiopraise board and you are up and running. (high res digital out)

Wow that Audiopraise is so awesome. Does that allow the Oppo to be used to copy SACDs now?

I think the DST is more than that. The digital lens with the I2S interface and the disabling of the video circuits make a big difference.

You can do that on the Oppo 103/105 with the old firmware anyway. No need for the Audiopraise.

Made the comment for Blu ray discs, which are difficult with the DST, not chance it out, just an extra option.
