I think you left out a 'winking smiley' (for sarcasm) at the end of this statement! I find YouTube videos a pretty much worthless way of evaluating the sonic performance of high end audio equipment.

tad cr1 that is the ultimate speaker. rockports, salon2 etc. average speakers at most. focal scala utopia III is a "poor" man tad cr1 and if you are tight with money then 802d which compensates its lack of cr1-like qualities with its own set of qualities.
if you are really tight with money go with Salk, and Symphonia 7R at the very bottom. remember always go to youtube first and hear speakers there as many recordings as possible
Navrsale - First of all, welcome to AA. We welcome all viewpoints and opinions here. This is the nicest audio forum there is. But...this youtube stuff ... I am hoping you are just kidding. You are kidding, right?

Hi Navrsale,

Sorry if I was a little rough on you. I didn't realize this was your first post. Welcome to AA buddy. Marc is right, all opinions are welcome here. Somtimes discussions can get a bit spirited!

I'm assuming there isn't some humour intended with the youtube advice?
My experience, I owned 802Ds for 4-5yrs and was very happy with them but as always the upgrade bug bit & I actually had my eyes on 800Diamonds & spent several hours with them. The Rockport Aviors are very much a step above in every aspect (as you would hope for the extra $), hence I bought them. I would be very cautious about relying on youtube audio for any hifi purchase!

And jdebonth, a belated congrats on a great purchase

Based on my DALI Epicon 2s, which have all of your requirements except for deep bass, I think the Eipcon 8s would satisfy you and save about $10,000.

I would pick the $5K, all new Elac Adante AF-61 Floorstanding speakers even at a much higher price point too.

Hi there,

I know its an old tread but i just want to share it:

I have been playing fore a long time in my small room. ( 4 to 7 m) with Wilson WP 5, 6 and seven and always they did sound really beautifull.
Last year i’ll change to Audio Physic Cardeas, just want something different and i can tell you there was a big ditterence.
More controle at the low frequence, more detail en more real to me.

Regards, Gert
