Default Air Compressor recommendations…...
OK, I know Jack asked earlier a somewhat similar question but I'm looking for a little different thought / recommendation including brands of choice.

My Craftsman 25 gallon horizontal is giving up the ghost …………it's uses include impact wrenches, inflation and various other air tools. I want to maintain the present location under a bench in my garage so horizontal is a must.

Thoughts ?

I've had a dual tank horizontal Porter Cable for about 20 years. Similar use to yours until I built a new garage/barn last year where it got very heavy use for five months. Never a glitch, just keeps going.

I agree with the Porter Cable. I would not recommend Craftsman. I have had a Porter Cable compressor for years

I see Home Depot has a 20 gal one for less than $400, I'll check it this week….

If you are running air tools you will want a twin cylinder compressor for quick recovery. Make sure to get an old school version that holds lubricating oil, not an oilless version.
