I agree, and if I didn’t hear it for myself I would be in the other camp.

Everything matters in Audio, even the rooms humidity.

Ivan...agreed everything does matter. Last week my wife was making fun of me when I was dusting and cleaning all my components. She said I wish you were as dedicated to the rest of the house with the cleaning. I told her that it makes the music sound better just like when you wash your car it rides better.

She didn’t by it.

Paul-

You may need to pop off the lid and check the fuses yourself. I just looked at a picture I took of the BDP3 when installing the SSD and it has two fuses inside next to the power plug.
This fuse thing can add up fast!

Hi John...They sure do add up fast. I was able to find a pic of the insides this morning. It's a Small 5x20mm SB (T) (0.75") Slow (T) 1A.

Just as a matter of curiosity, I'd like to know what specific sonic improvement one hears when changing fuses in Bryston products? Seemly, Bryston would have already discovered this fact and would have incorporated this (fuse) improvement in its products. So, please articulate what sonic improvements you hear?

I recommended you try one. Most of the fuse manufacturer’s have a 30 day return policy. If you don’t hear a difference then send it back. Nothing gained and nothing lost.

As for me the 5 fuses I’ve replaced so far has transformed my system. No placebo effect for me. My daughter sat with me for awhile last night and remarked how good the music was sounding and asked if I replaced anything. I told her just a few fuses and she said “yeah right”

Just do a search and you’ll see I’m not the only one.

wait...what?...you changed a fuse and the sound improved ??...is this what you are claiming and reporting under own name on a public...or semi-public...correction, actually a private with general public accessible, forum ?

modlin - why are you so surprised? A valuable contribution would be for you to try a similar experiment and report the results back to the forum. You may be surprised, maybe you won’t be, but either way you’ll know what happened in your system with your ears. At the end of the day that’s the only thing that matters.
