Default Wireworld Silver Starlight USB cable in house

What a difference. Out with the 16' Belken A to B USB cable and in with a new Wireworld Silver Starlight A to B USB cable. Holy smoke! Where did all that extra bottom end resolution and sound stage depth come from? It truly is amazing what a premium cable can do. Yes, even the lowly USB cable has a dramatic impact on the ones and zeros headed to the DAC. I am playing Bonnie Raitt - Slipstream CD and the performance bump is astonishing.

The old $15.00 Belken USB cable was at the limit of its capabilities handling music files. The cable was really too long and on occasion I would lose the USB signal. It would just drop out. When it was performing without dropping out I got what I thought was a decent signal, that is until the Wireworld Silver Starlight cable showed up today. What a difference. The new Silver Starlight cable is 3 meters in length and is performing without a hitch. In fact, it is kick butt. I should have ordered this USB cable a long time ago.

Dan , I got one too during Ivans Holiday Sale and I am with you!!! what a difference I was using a belkin Gold and when I switched it out OMG. I know the debate about wires continues but this was a huge improvement and so was the silver starlight coax/digital wireworld I also picked up replacing a monster coax cable. I am now a believer. I just added up all the interconnects I need to replace I will be getting the order over to Ivan soon.

Larry.......I'm ahead of you. The Silver Starlight USB cable was the only cable in my systems that wasn't already Wireworld Silver Eclipse, Silver Starlight, Super Nova, or Silver Electra cables. Both of my two channel systems are completely wired with Wireworld cables. I am completely satisfied with the performance Wireworld delivers. Great bang for the buck.

Dan:

For whatever reason I thought you already had the Silver Starlight USB...if you enjoy the Silver, you will be surprised at the difference between it and the Platinum Starlight USB cable.

In fact, it is the only WW cable that I have not replaced because it is so good.

Congrats on the USB cable upgrade Dan! It really is amazing how a high quality cable can up the game in a system. Who'd have thought that a lowly USB cable would be capable of such leaps-and-bounds.

btw...the Platinum really is worth it!

Michael.......To be perfectly honest, I am not all that excited about computer based audio in my systems. Basically, I am really only playing with it. I prefer to install hi-res files on my Olive 04HD music server hard drive and control it from my silent iPad. So using the Wireworld Silver Starlight USB cable is likely as high up the USB line as I will go. I am not disappointed in the slightest with the improvement I am hearing with the Silver Starlight USB cable. We're I more serious about a computer in my audio room, I might have considered the WW Platinum USB cable. It certainly is getting rave reviews. The Platinum USB cable will be there if I change my mind.

Ah that's right I recall reading that in one of your posts. I also did not realize that the 04HD does not have a USB digital output. Shot my mouth before putting two and two together...like usual .

Back on topic, the Silver Starlight USB is plenty good when compared to what else is available (especially at its price). I gave my old one to a buddy and he's loving it in his headphone system.
