MD will not be releasing any HD Tuners - right from the horses mouth!
And right in my town one really nice HD jazz station has cropped up! go figure!

Please feel free to correct me, if I am misinformed.

Md announced hd tuners in Q4 last year. Not sure if they're out yet.

Here is a list of available HD (Hybrid Digital) radios:

The focus of DTS, iBiquity's now owner, appears to be on the automotive market.

Well, you were right and I was dealing with dated info. I went to the MD site and couldn't find HD tuners, even though they announced last year that they would be released (last year). I inquired of MD today and they said that the entire division of HD was shut down, which killed their project.

Uggghhh, I hope it's not another sign of the waning popularity of FM. I just don't get it - my tuner is by far my favorite source.

Weirdcuba, I am glad you got to the bottom of it. Here is the ONLY prototype singing in my living room. It is staying put!

Wow. Let me know if you decide to part ways with that!! Congratulations.

I love my all analog 108T, but keep on waiting on MD to come out with a media server, hd, Internet radio, Sirius, tidal / combination box. I suspect I'll have to wait a long time.

Weirdcuba,
Have you had a chance to critically listen to your Sony HD tuner?
Since HD is relatively low bitrate (96 to 144 Kbps) compressed audio using a proprietary codec similar to AAC, it should sound similar to iTunes.
Just curious.

W9TR - yep, I got rid of the Sony tuner a long time ago. It punched way above its weight for the dollars and size and breadth of functions, but it wasn't up to par from a quality perspective to my ears. I bought it to explore signals in my area, get my antenna all worked out and see if HD was worth it (it wasn't, to my ears). So, I sold the Sony for basically what I paid for it and bought the MD108T, and haven't looked back. The Sony is a quite serviceable tuner and great bang for the buck, but I agree with your proposition that it isn't up to critical listening (in my opinion only, others may disagree and they are entirely entitled to do so).

Wise move. I'm not a fan of HD radio due to the intrinsically poor audio quality and the interference it causes to analog FM. You've got a wonderful setup! Enjoy!
