I'd be curious to know how the Nova 125 sounds with their own Peachtree D5 speakers. I would love to get this if I had a place to put it. Hmmm, if only I had a vacation home like Julian.

Help set me straight, Julian and others.
The Peachtree Audio products are relatively inexpensive and, while they do sound "as good as" much more expensive products, they do lack the cachet of exclusivity that accompanies more costly products.

Every review that I've read about the Peachtree products has been glowing, and I've never read an unfavorable remark about any of their products. (Heck, enter "Peachtree Audio Nova 125 Review" in Google and you'll see what I'm talking about.) The Nova 125, by the way, is listed in both Stereophile (Class B) and The Absolute Sound Editor's Choice, and is included on many, many other "best of" lists. (I think Stereophile may list it as a DAC rather than an integrated.)

I guess you'd say that their products are just cheap little things, made for poor little audiophile wannabees ( which just happen to sound extremely good.)

The Nova 125 sells for less than $1500 and, after all, what self respecting audiophile could possibly show-off and brag about anything that cheap?

(And, my answer to that question is, of course . . . . ME!) With my new Peachtree Nova 125, I probably have the cheapest integrated amplifier ever mentioned in this whole forum - and I love it . . . and it includes a darn good DAC built right in.

Julian, thank you.

I suppose these are (shudder) class D? Might be a nice option for a bedroom setup.

I love my peachtree nova! It's paired with my B&W N805's in my office setup. It lacks nothing.

I had the decco2 integrated and it did the job as well. I'd love a nova 125 to replace my nova. Congrats on the new goodies.

I'd be really curious to hear the grand integrated in place of my mcintosh setup in the basement.

Congratulations Julian. I like Focal speakers and find they can compete with most anything out there. You will be very happy with your purchases.

No - The Peachtree Audio Nova 125 is ranked a solid Class B in the Stereophile - 2013 Recommended Components Listing.

And

The Nova 125 is included as an Editor's Choice in the latest (March 2014) issue of The Absolute Sound - (Although it is included in the Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC) list rather than with the integrated amps. - It does both, you know.)

So actually it is actually a candidate and option for use in all but the most sophisticated MAIN system (Bedroom setup, my ass!!!!)

And, by the way, Stereophile doesn't usually put class D or marginal components on its front cover . . . . (March 2013)

I hope that you didn't think I was being insulting. I was thinking about the physical size of the unit as a discrete component in a bedroom where the WAF can be an issue, but where I would want some quality audio. We may be moving to a house that has substantially larger rooms than our current domicile, so I'm just trying to think ahead.

I should have done more homework prior to asking rather shallow questions. Thanks for helping me out, and I apologize if I was at all inappropriate.

I have my Nova125 pushing floor standing speakers and at 50% juice it's almost unbearably loud. I could see a Nova125 pushing a really nice pair of book shelf speakers in a bedroom setting to great result. Plus it's a remarkably attractive piece of equipment, unlike a lot of audio gear.

You, inappropriate? Never! I just enjoy a little repartee - and I enjoy your posts immensely.

I saw the pictures of your possible next dwelling place and think you have some really fun challenges in filling it with music. Great looking house, and a small, unobtrusive integrated amp, like the Peachtree might be the ticket for locations where gosh awful looking, massed audio components might just ruin wives interior decoration aspirations.
