First of all, Jérôme, as everyone knows, is the WORLD CLASS GUY you dream to have for a friend, and I'm so lucky to know him and to live only 3 miles from his home.

I was the first one with Olivier, and we quickly listened to the ground floor system, with Mc 225, Manley 300B preamp, Mc MDA1000 and SB Touch, and DeVore speakers:excellent listening to Eric Bibb and Johnny Cash.

When everybody was here we climbed to the first floor, wher we admired Rega Speakers.

To the second floor , the Shindos were playing Norah Jones : warm up.

WP8, Shindo Giscours and CCQ, and.....La Platine JC Verdier, with 2 arms and 3 carts to play with: Ortofon
SPU Classic, EMT and Denon 103: that's the dream system we listened at during the afternoon.

Champagne, petits fours sucrés, chocolates ....everything was perfect! Really perfect, Jérôme , a very very big thank you.

Ice on the cake, Mr JC Verdier himself came in a little bit later : a great man!

We listened to different music genres , at different levels, with different carts.

The system is now a Reference system, the evolution is huge, in a well acoustically treated room, with fabulous gear, everything was in place....time went by too quickly .

We could very well hear to the recording quality differences between all those LPs: that's the mark of neutrality of the great systems .

Well Jérôme , what can I say? Thank you my friend, and felicitations : you have built a Reference System

It sounds like a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Sharing music on a top quality system with friends. Perfect!
