I would like to know how you made the connections between your power plug and the Acrolink 4030II cable.
In the Acrolink 4030II cable, there are a brass tape, an EMI absorbing thread and a silk thread.
Did you connect one of them to the earth pole of your power plug (towards the wall receptacle) ?
Have you any advice or any care to share for such a power cord mounting ?

Hi Fi Heretic.... On the Audio Research Ref Anniversary 40, I prefer the stock cord over Shunyata Zitron Python (yes- burned in with an Audio Dharma cable cooker which I couldn't live without). Interestingly the dealer advised as much. The amps may be a different story.

Trying right now Vahalla 2, I'll know in a week if an all Vahalla 2 power cords is the best combination. I have try in the past other power cables including Vahalla, Shunyata on the preamp and always preffer the stock cable.

FYI Shunyata advises that a cable cooker will not break in their PC's...that could be the reason you didn't like the cord///

I will go slow, but no Shunyata products are on my radar screen.
I have "upgraded" my system from REF250s to a REF75. I used to have REF250s plugged into my Silver Circle. Upon the recommendation of Warren from ARC and others it is now plugged directly into the wall. I use the Sain Reference Cable.

The results are superb. I would call Chris at Sain Line Systems. I know he has a demo program and it is well worth a try. Superb sound and construction with my highest recommendation.

Did you upgraded from REF250 to the REF75, or 75 to the 250.

I appreciate your recommendation.

I also have a SCA PLC, and found my REF 75 sounded better plugged directly into the wall.

Now that it's got some hours on it, my REF 75 is sounding so good with the stock PC, that I'm reluctant to make a change.

Sold my Ref250s and now own Ref75

The Ref 75 works much better with my speakers than the 250s did.

Priaptor,

Can you tell us which speakers you are listening to with the Ref 75 ?

I am interested to know this successful couple.
