REF5SE, DSPRE and REF 150 just arrived
I just got all of the above components in the store. I got them hooked up and listened for about an hour. The speakers are Rockport MIra 2's and all transparent opus cable.
I happen to be a real skeptic about how long burn in really takes - (who can really remember what something sounded like 400 hours ago????). So - I will post my findings every day or so trying to explain what changes I perceive. The plan is to play it overnight and as much as possible during the day.

on hour 22 right now - everything is definitely better - lots more life and sparkle on the top, better focus and more space,along with a more detailed and bigger bottom end. I anticipate it will improve for the next few days then will not change much more - or at least my ability to be confident about the changes will diminish - we'll see. As I mentioned above, I have a hard time thinking that anyone can really tell the difference of changes that accrue over hundreds of hours - I will try to pay attention to it to see if I change my mind.
