This movie has some great potential, and I am looking forward to seeing the movie. As for the female co-star, I believe the actress is Amber Heard who will be playing the role of Mera.

It does not appear to follow from Entourage or appear as a sequel. To quote from the linked article below, “Obviously, Warner Bros.’ real Aquaman is going to be a drastically different film than Entourage’s fictional one, if for no other than the fact that studios take superhero franchises much more seriously today than they did 10 years or so ago.”
