Update.
I tried the V5xe power amp in my main on my horn high eff speakers. It took actually longer to sound correctly. Almost 3 days. But when it did it was extremely impressive. Very close to my beloved 300B WE Set monoblocs. Sound is extremely clear and opened. Full of life without any harshness or strain. Bass is very agile and clean but does not get as weighty and full as with the Accuphase A65 amp. But the Ayre V5xe is way more opened in the highs.

I have AX-5 and QX-5 and it takes a whole day for system to “charge” if power is disrupted. Perhaps not quite so significant if there is brief disruption but do think either the stuff needs continuous power to stay warmed up or the components need to reach correct operating temperature. It must have something to do with the design because every Ayre product I have ever dealt with is like that. All gear needs warm up but man if Ayre is not broken in or warmed up it is really thin sounding.
