My buddy has done a shoot out on servers and DAC's. He's had nearly every server in the house and that includes all the smaller computer based ones. Some have been upwards of 50k. The Green Machine is the only one he's not had in and we both are scheduled to get that in as soon as the upgrades on them are made.

It's not been a contest so far. N10 is by far the best sounding one. The only true difference between W20 and N10 is the ability to add an external clock. I have heard it with a top clock (forget the name) and it was fabulous. Truly a special piece.

I'm going to get the N10 soon I believe. I'm checking to see if and when they will do a refresh. I'm assuming it's soon as they have the A 10 out now.

Do you guys know what else they are working on to refresh or bring out new? My friend sells these and hasn't had one complaint .

ctsooner.......I can't think of anything to "refresh" in the Aurender N10. There is no DAC in it, and everything else inside is fabulous in my opinion. There is no reason to mess with perfection. I don't think Aurender is going to do anything to the N10 except make all they can sell.

JD, I get that. As you know I think it's the best sounding server going and I've heard most of them at most price ranges. There are always things that can be upgraded as we all know. It could be as simple as a hard drive. All manufactures upgrade all the time without saying a thing when they can get better parts for the same cost or less.

That said, I will try to find a great deal on one soon. If I get a used one, I'm hoping that it has someone's library on it with a ton of DSD, lol.
