There are four pairs of Mini IIs currently listed for sale on Agon.

There's also a pair of Q7s for sale, asking price- $125K.

The original owner traded them in a pair Evolution Acoustics MMSevens.

-- I believe the Magico Q7s to be the real deal.

Has anyone here actually heard the Q7's or are they just endorsing magazine reviews?

Compare the Q7 to other speakers in the same price range, and you would be shocked how much they are revolutionary (I listened to nearly everything from major makers... the Q7 is in a category in its own)
You might be a touch off base as Michael Fremer bought XLF's after reviewing them and I suspect he has heard just about everything as well. This is not to take anything away from the Q7s which I am sure are phenomenal speakers, but I am guessing the XLF's are a touch better sounding than S5s.

Off base is putting it mildly..... I've heard every single model of the Q series and have tried my hardest to keep an open mind and understand the hype, but in reality there are so many better speakers than the Q's and some models are just plain awful. Just by reading the threads on this forum, the list of amps that don't work with Magico's seems to be so much longer than the ones that do and according to the "experts" Magico's sound right while everything else isn't. Claiming that a pair of S5's are better than an XLF is beyond ludicrous.
