I'm with you on that one. There's no OOOmmmm chanting going on in my listening room anyway. It might work for Monks in the monastery, but I think I'll pass.

I once saw an note in the paper that there was going to be a new Buddhist Monk Speaker. This raises the question, How many Om's does a Buhdist Monk Speaker draw.

Nice looking room
Looks like a work in progress. You may have thought of replacing the used phone books with a massive sand loaded device of some sort.
But, how's your imaging ? I am wondering why that table is there, the one holding up the lap top, right there in the middle of the sound stage. And, you either live alone, or have a really great s/o (wife). Very nicely done room- you have a lot going on in what seems like a somewhat restricted space. |

Thanks Scott!
The imaging is very well defined and the soundstage extends slightly past the speakers on both sides and from the woofer height to about a foot off the ceiling. There is also a decent amount of depth also. When I get a chance, I'll give it a listen without the table in the room. The top cabinets/baffles are only for testing. Instead of building multiple cabinets for testing, it's much easier to just build a baffle and mid enclosure. Plus I wasn't 100% sure what setback angle I want to use for the TM enclosure. Now that I've finalized a design, I plan on building an enclosed cabinet that will have the same depth as the bass bin. Due to the size of the crossover components, I don't have much of a choice anyway. |

I know, the place is a bit of a mess at the moment.
Those drivers on the floor are out of a Polk LSi15 that I'm hot rodding for a friend. Point to point crossover, air core inductors, Sonic Caps in the HF circuit, and Dayton in the lows. Should make a substantial difference over the stock crap. Then it's time to either paint or veneer my speakers. |

Face- nice room, I especially appreciate the Alex Grey artwork. May not do much for the sound, but I find that his art does a lot for the experience of music.
