Noise is very important to me, I'm sensitive to it (and humming lights), and I appreciate the blacker background too. Noise isn't the only quality though.

Hey sorry for the late reply-yes I run everything through the AVR20. Right now I use WW silver eclipse power cables. I would like to upgrade my power cables down the line.

I decided on the Torus TOT Max. I figured it had more than enough power (1725VA) for my McIntosh MA8000 which is the only big power draw on the system. Everything else is just source components; two tape decks a turntable and CD player. The unit also offers the same power isolation and surge protection as its bigger brethren. If I was running say a pair of 611's or 1.2KW's, I'd have gone much bigger.

Update: I belatedly realized the TOT Max does not come with surge suppression. That is a factory add on for an additional $299.00. I cancelled the order. Back to square 1.
