I’m going to run my Node 2 through it for awhile but may eventually look at a Auralic G1 streamer...but before I do that I have the vinyl bug so I’m looking at TT right now....
rushca01.......You made the right choice going with the Yggy over the Gumby. Congratulations. You are going to love the Yggdrasil DAC. It's good that Schiit Audio was able to ship your DAC so quickly. Plug it in, leave it on continuously, and let the fun begin. I suggest you keep a digital signal fed to it for at least the first couple of hundred hours to help speed up break-in.

Great choice. I’ve owned both the Gumby and Yggy before settling on Luxman for the the “all in in one box”, SACD/CD/DSD solution and a match to my Luxman integrated. I have to say that both the Gumby and Yggy are screaming bargains in this hobby of ours and easily the most impressive digital components for the money I have come across in the past 30 years of being into audio.

Congratulations, from all the reports it’s an excellent DAC and should provide much listening pleasure.

It may simply be the last DAC you'll ever need, and the rest of your system will benefit from the Yggy's performance.

I’m thinking about swapping out my Node2 for a Auralic Aries G1. Has anybody tried this combo with their yggy? Will the Yggy support the USB connection on the Aries G1? There is a comment on the spec page for the G1 that only certain DACs will support the USB connection.

Yggdrasil works fine with my G2 via USB. But you might prefer AES more.

Can you elaborate on why the AES?

Because they sound a litttle different to me. You would have try each of them on the G1, having AES on the G2 was part of the reason I bought it.

Double Post.

Mike Moffatt prefers the digital inputs over USB still
