Default Kenny Burrell facing homelessness

I just read this article today. What a shame. He truly is a legend. A go fund me page has been set up to help with his medical and other expenses. What a sad story.

I don’t think it’s a scam. https://jazztimes.com/blog/kenny-bur...ndme-campaign/

I wish I could remember where I read it but my heart goes out to him and his wife if it's true.

From the first article and from the UCLA:
“Professor Burrell is currently on sabbatical, and is scheduled to return to UCLA for the Spring Quarter in March 2020. He remains a full-time faculty member with related compensation and health benefits."
Hmm... Seems odd. A full professor at UCLA is well compensated, I would think. I would be inclined to believe he makes more than most of the folks who are contributing to the go fund me page.

I'm not sure how anyone can claim it is a scam or not without personally knowing his situation. Beware of what you can't verify
