David, nice upgrades! Did I see the C2300 is up for sale? What is your plan for replacement if so? Beautiful listening space. Great balance of "livability" and a tremendous listening space.

I'm sure they will after that break in we are a crazy bunch. The handles definitely modernize the look of the 501's. I wasn't going to do it since it's cosmetic but since Ivan was running out of them it was now or never. I am able to lift the amp. by the handles to move the amp. , which has some functionality.

I will probably end up keeping the C2300 .

I see in your signature that you have both 501's and 601's , do you notice a big difference ? Have you added the handles to your 501's ?

There is no doubt that handles improve things. Wider, deeper soundstage, more authority, etc.

Thanks Pete, I agree. I rarely go above 50 watts with peaks of a 100-150 watts so I have never felt like I was running low on power or headroom. Of course ignorance can be bliss...as per Ivan's quote below. I simply can not fit the 601's in my built in anyway.

David, I could be wrong but I am pretty sure you should NOT lift your MC501s with the Ivan handles. I don't think the screws are designed for that. Please be careful. Even though it worked once is no guarantee it will work the next time. Craig
