Default How pros treat their gear...

There was a discussion a few weeks back in one of the Fuji forums about someone getting a "scuff" their camera and what should tehy do about it. I just had to laugh; and mentioned that if he had seen how pros treat their gear, he'd probably find it shocking.

I just covered the NASCAR SaveMart 350 at Sonoma Raceway this weekend, and took a shot of my gear while I waited for the cars to come out for a session. This is my Think Tank belt (which has a 17-40 and 70-200/2.8 in the lens holders, as well as a bunch of other gear) and my venerable Canon 1D MkII and 300/2.8L resting against the K-wall. This is very common sight you see at any trackside location where a pro with credentials would be shooting. Many of my pro companions were all using fairly new bodies which were heavily "brassed" and also sitting in the dirt.

It's all about getting the shot...
