I have not listened to the C2300, so no comparison is possible. however here is my review of the C2200: http://www.audioaficionado.org/mcint...00-review.html

But if want a warmer sound in a later piece of equipment, the C-2200 is not to be dismissed. Frank Gow and I were close friends, and if I were going to have a tube pre-amp I would have the commemorative C-2200 with his name on the face plate. They are available at Audio Classics.

I can only most heartedly agree..... Frank Gow Jr. was a special person.. I am very honoured to have one of the commemorative C2200...

The pairing with the MC501's.. is very very VERY good...

Rock.......When I first purchased my C2200 preamplifier I also purchased the MC352 power amp. The C2200 and the MC352 makes an excellent pairing as well.

It's been 4 years with my C2200 and I'm still fascinated with it. For me it was a whole
new world and being my first true preamp was above all the receivers I had had to
that point. Apart from its performance, I also love its classic looks. Rather than looking
for a replacement in the future, I'm looking forward pairing it with some monoblocks.
I'm sure that will make a great impression to me.

At some point when I unbox it and try it I will definitely report on the comparison with the C500T and sound quality.
