Don't your ears ring after shooting something like that? What kind of ear protection do you wear? I shot some pictures at Pomona a few years ago while standing near the start line and was blown back by the force of the sound pressure.

ahhhhhh......... the sight of 8000 plus Hp.......even though your pic is of the burn-out on the throttle stop !
the first pic, it looks as if the 'old', incandescent tree is in the background, seems strange that it would not have been removed from the track for a nat'l event ?
