MSRP $7000. This is the top of the line Mcintosh DAC and there top of the line digital pre amp . from Mcintosh. Current model , fully balanced. This sounds excellent and looks brand new. The D1100 when used with other Mcintosh pre amps. as just a DAC can have both devices controlled with the included remote . It displays the quality of the music being played on the front panel. Sound stage sounds wider than your speakers are.

Mcintosh D1100 mint for sale
Don’t know. Implementation can vary widely with same DAC chip. The D1100 sounds really, really good. List price $7000, at the asking price, for a new like DAC, you cant go wrong. GLWS.

The D100 is a discontinued older entry level Mcintosh Dac which has been replaced by the D150 . I’m not saying the D100 doesn’t sound good , just that the D1100 is better. The D1100 is the current top of the line DAC from Mcintosh with more inputs than the D100 had, the D1100 has a fully balanced topography and better specs. The D1100 is the top of the line one box digital pre amp. From Mcintosh.

I have a D1100 and make no mistake about it, it is a fantastic DAC. I do lots of my listening from internet radio because of the endless supply of great stations. And this is where the D1100 really shines. Making 44kHz internet quality sound so damn good. And as a long time Directv subscriber. the number and diverse music channels have grown over the years and hooking the Direct Box to the back on the D1100 has been equally surprising.
Playing redbook CDs and SACDs via the MCT450 and D1100 is magic. Best yet is my Lumin U1 music streamer with the D1100. I always judge DACs on how they sound when playing piano music. The digital glare when high notes are played. D1100 passes with flying colors. It is expensive for a DAC today, because there are lots of good DACs for a 1/3 of the cost of a D1100. But will they have the big sound without the Digital glare? |
