Indeed Dan. There are stairs down behind the counch, but I get nervous when kids are around, very easy to topple the right speaker over. Its an odd room that acoustically work very well. I dont have any bass issues.

Very nice! I'm humbled that you call it a humble system! I hope there nothing you need in that chest supporting the one Vivid!
Regards,
Jim

So true. If Doug's system is humble, mine is almost worthy of sympathy. I was almost embarrassed to post info about my circa $7k system (far less than what many members spend on cables alone) but happily there is such a wide diversity of music lovers on this site that I felt very welcome. I would love to hear those speakers in that particular room. Something very unique about the whole setup. Cool.

Wow that is an awesome setup. I have had 2 Gyrodecs in the past, and i loved them both.

It sounds amazing. I am very lucky that the sound is consistent no matter where you are in the room. I often sit to the side by the kitchen and listen and it sounds great off axis as well

That is the thing about Vivid Audio that I find the most extraordinary: it sounds good in the whole room.

Douglas - Pleaseeeeee don't let anyone knock that right speaker off the rise. It looks like it's in a rather precarious position. If I were you I'd put a couple of pillows down there just in case!
