Dan, I still prefer Output Transformer-less Single Ended for headphone listening as that creates some serious magic from my previous experience but this one does allow for quite a variety of different impedance headphones to be used with it. Depending on the quality of the transformer, it may not take much away from the sonic beauty though. So I would be curious to hear it.

If the nameplate was blank, I never would have guessed it was a Manley. Is this the beginning of a new direction in styling for Manley?

PHC1, remember that Manley manufacture their own iron in-house so I expect the transformers would be purpose designed for this particular headphone amplifier. If their own design & manufactured output transformers on my neoclassical 250 power amps are anything to go by then I'm sure the transformers used in their headphone amplifier will be equally superb.
