Yes, the OIII sounds a bit fuller. It does go deeper and that has an impact on the general sound.
Integrateds... Lots of choices. Tube or solid state will be the first question.
Burmester, Accuphase are popular options; Naim if you like a dryer sound.
McIntosh, Musical Fidelity,... Endless list.
Happy hunting!!

I think that tube rolling is painful, what do u think?
I will stay with SS.

I am looking for full and warm. BUT I am still looking for detailed sound signature.

My equation is:
Warm + Detailed + Full-bodied + NOT harsh + Revealing + NOT cold&boring = Ultimate enjoyment

How the SF OIII compared to the new Focal Sopra2?
Both are in the same price range.

I am on the fence and can't decide

I think that McIntosh electronics paired with more recent Sonus Faber designs like the Futura and the OIII are a match made in heaven. I have been living with this combination for over a year, and it has proven to be very musically satisfying. That is the goal, is it not?

I never heard the McIntosh but based on reviews, they seem musical, warm, big sound and a little over bassy. Do think these characteristics are good match with FS sound signature? I am under the impression that SF requires something revealing, transparent and a little clinical in order to overcome the warmth and limited sound stage of SF.

Again, I never heard the McIntosh and my experience with SF is just 2 hours with the OII .

I am on the fence and feel lost

But most likely will go with the OIII (I mangled to get a wonderful deal on the OIII).

I heard Elipsas with a 30W Jadis amp and it was fantastic.
I'm a newbie in the tube domain myself so I can't help you further here...now
I'll have my new tube amps in September. 👍🏻

McIntosh has two different sound signatures. The newer amps and
preamps (for example the MC 452) are fast, articulate, detailed, with tight and tuneful bass.

The older equipment is warmer sounding.

I have been running a pair of Amati Futura speakers with McIntosh tube amplification and love the sound.

As always its a matter of taste. But as a previous owner of the Olympica 3 (now Futura) I am not found of a system set up where the amp is too warm in combination with Olympica. Its bass is not the tightest and it needs a firm hand here. Have had Audio Research earlier - now Jeff Rowland. Have tested Krell.

Is it a day and night diff between the Futura and OIII?
