I've got a Classic 3 with a Lyra Delos cartridge. I clean my records with the Music Hall WCS. I am interested in the upgrade that will offer the greatest sonic improvement. 3D tonearm, or an ultrasonic cleaner? I'm not concerned with the price differential. Just interested in better sound from my LP's.

My vote goes for the ultrasonic. I think a lot of people can get much better sound from their TT if they have it setup perfectly. You might be someone who already has it setup perfectly and now having your records cleaned to their fullest potential you can retrieve all the detail available.

Front242....... The VPl Classic 3 turntable has a good tonearm already. My vote is for the ultrasonic record cleaner. Super clean albums will make a marked improvement in your listening enjoyment.

If you are into vinyl for the longer term and plan on building a collection I would go with the ultrasonic cleaner before any other upgrades, even if I had a lesser quality table and arm.

The answer is yes (I did both at roughly the same time). OK, I won't be a smart ass. I'd do the ultrasonic RCM first but, I've got to say, the 3D arm (which I also use with the Delos) seems to have itself cut down on the surface noise I hear on albums pretty dramatically.

I would go Audiodeske. I have both upgrades and IMHO both should be done if feasible. The AD will add so much to your vinyl experience, it is not even close. That being said the 3d arm made a tremendous improvement in sound quality.
