Default Focal Sopra n°2 speaker

Cool. More savings! I didn't know if IsoAcoustics product was designed for speakers vs components but I guess, like Stillpoints, the answer is both. Currently I don't have any isolation devices under my McIntosh gear. Only using Nordost Sort Fut for my rack ......

Back on topic, you made a great choice with the Sopra2. Everything I have read has been very positive.

Can't wait to see the photos in your room.

Don't I know it! I came close to buying these, sight unseen, but chose the Dyn C30 after I auditioned and most importantly my wife gave aesthetic approval for the C30 in our busy living room. If the Sopra 2 didn't have the black mixed in with the white, I likely would own Sopra 2 right now.

The Walnut looks great!

The Walnut Sopra’s don’t get much attention, but IMHO they are stunning.
I like the warm wood look, what else can I say?

I have a question for you owners of the No2. I am looking VERY seriously at buying them, plus the sopra center and sopra pibole surrounds. I only have one system, and it serves both music and HT.

How big is your room, and how would the No2 work in my nearly 700 Sq ft room? I think the No3 would be too physically imposing.

I also have a pair of Fathom 112s on order from Ivan (Masterlu). I just wonder if the No2s are going to work in a room this size.

Thanks!!

Hello Dave

I once considered the Sopra No.2 , for my room which is 10 x 19 , with the speakers on the long wall. So a quick guess from me is that No.3 would be a better choice.

But am sure other people here have way more knowledge than me.

700 sq ft? That's a large room, I have 3s in a 16 by 18 room, 288 sq ft? They definitely won't be too much for your room, 2s or 3s.

Thanks, butI'm concerned they'd be too small, not too big.

I have the Sopra No2’s in a room that 20 x 24. The speakers are on the long wall about 10 feet apart. I play them literally at concert levels and they are simply amazing [emoji6]. The 2’s are more than enough. I suggest you go see the two speakers standing next to each other. The 3’s take up quite a bit more space. You can’t go wrong with either one you choose. Good luck.
