Strads compared to Amati Futura
I've been living with my Amati Futuras for a while now and love them. They were a nice change from my previous Sasha's.
However I've been curious about the Strads. Have not heard them and won't be able to audition them, but did hear Elipsas and was not a fan. They seemed closed-in and presented a much smaller soundstage than I was used to. Also a bit colored in the midrange compared to the Sashas and much less dynamic. For those who have heard both the Amati Futura and Strads, how do they compare? What do the Strads do better? What do the Futuras do better? I have Doshi tube monoblocks and will not change my amps. My music preferences are light rock, acoustic, female vocal. No hard rock or large scale classical. Thanks, Dave
