Default Netflix - The Highwaymen
Watched The Highwaymen last night on Netflix. Former Texas Rangers Frank Hamer and Maney Gault join forces to try and capture notorious outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson portrait two aging and reinstated Texas Rangers. Both actors develop their characters quite well but I think Woody Harrelson played his part the best. It's 2 hours 12 minutes in length. I enjoyed this flick.

I felt they took a lot of liberty with the story. According to the histories I have read, Bonnie herself was not involved in any murders but in the movie they turned her into a ruthless killer.

We plan on giving it a go when we get time. Based on some reviews we had lowered our expectations but still want to give it a go. Thanks for your thoughts.

I watched it last night and thought it was guite good, as were the performances of both actors, but I agree fully with Dan that Harrelson gave his character more interest, depth and development, he was very good in this role and I think was the key character in it the film's success (loved the scene in the mens' room). While I like Kevin Costner and some of his films, he's not what I would consider a Daniel Day Lewis, or even a Mahershala Ali, when it comes to thespian depth or range.

Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConnaughey were both outstanding in the very first season of True Detective. Still the best season of that series.

I'll give this one a try. I'm not a huge Costner fan...never thought he had much range.

Agree that True Detective season 1 was awesome.
