Your speakers are all assembled and on rollers inside the crates. Posistion the boxes, unscrew the proper side, take out the packing and roll them out and into position. Watch that first exit down from the crate is a step that you must be careful with. Roll them where you want to and hook them up. Your dealer will do the set up, and put the spikes on but you can enjoy sooner. I'm sure they would like it if you removed the frisk. I de-frisked with the speakers playing and found the experience really interesting with music coming from the ports and cones. Enjoy!

This is not the proper process Bob. We understand that a proud new Wilson owner is very excited. It's certainly hard to wait when it has already taken us typically 4 to 5 weeks to build your speakers. But the same same standards that go into building your speakers are meant to go into unpacking and setting them up as well. This helps to insure that the client gets the experience for which he has paid.

That said, this is what Wilson expects to happen.

The crate should be opened, the speakers removed, and the speakers inspected by the dealer. The dealer should remove the frisk (there is a technique to best protect edges) and inspect again.

The dealer should set up with spikes on, not casters.

In the extremely rare cases where there might be an issue, we get immediate, accurate feedback so that we can correct the problem. Dealer feedback allows us to improve our processes for the customers' benefit.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that the Wilson owner shouldn't be able to use his speakers in whatever way he wishes. I'm saying that the delivery process in not unlike that of picking up your brand new Ferrari. They're going to prep your car to a certain standard to insure you get the car for which you paid. Only then can the delivery process be considered completed. What you do with it after that is up to you.

Hope this helps.

Remember Temptation is Evil, this situation IMO is no different and Wilson clearly explains the process. With this outlay of cash, patience is a virtue!

Divert to anything that will make the time go by, you will be enjoying these great speakers soon enough, enjoy!

So the Yvette's are now setup and settling in quite nicely. They are still breaking in (I have about 20 hours on them), but so far I must say I think they are a great match with my 2301's. With this combination I much prefer the sound using the 4 ohm output taps of my amplifiers. First impressions are that the Yvette's have a very similar sonic character to the Sabrina - but just more of everything. They certainly go deeper, and the attack and slam on transients goes up a notch (or two!) as well. I am really enjoying the experience of playing some of my favorite albums and hearing all of the depth and emotion that the Yvette's are able to convey with shocking ease. I have a feeling they will just keep getting better and better as I get more hours on them. I also love her lines. She definitely has quite the bad-ass look!

Congrats! I spent some time with the MC2301s and Sophia III's and it was a very enjoyable combination so I would imagine the same amps with the Yvettes is nirvana. Enjoy!
