Hmmm, I didn't even notice. It does seem low, but I'm not going to worry about it.

Default Change 6,325,152

So I made some more changes to the system. I tried what some said probably wouldn't work and hooked up the Adcom GFA 555II to the bottom end of the KEFs and the Jolida JD801 to the top end, using the MHA100 for my DAC/Pre. It sounds amazing. It is like the best of both worlds, tube & SS. So Now I am using that Adcom for a place holder for the MC152, which I plan to buy next month.

I'm a total low budget audio geek and enjoy messing with this stupid stuff.

I used to have a complete Adcom system which included the GFA555ii for amplification. That Adcom amp is no slouch and does a great job especially on the low end. In fact, the person that purchased my Adcom amp did exactly what you are doing with the exception that he was using a McIntosh for the top end.

Not sure if I'd consider the MC152 "low budget."

Used to have a MC152 and loved it even from an easthetics point of view while some Mac folk aren't the most inclined to such model for that reason. Kicks ar.se, sounds and looks very very good IMHO.

Finally upgraded my MCs with the Pass XP-15 Phonostage. Perfect match - loving the "big" sound...
