Cats....some can be such a pain & dirty. One of mine wakes me almost every night trying to get into hallway cabinets. She bangs until one of us gets up and opens it. A different cabinet every night. Woke me at 3:00 AM last night and I was never able to get back to sleep. I'm going to have to tape or glue all those darn things closed.
As for the litter box invention...I'm happy if this one pain in the #** cat goes in the litter box, it would never be able to learn to go in a toilet.
Dogs are much better pets IMO.

At the park with mine right now. Yep, 9:50 PM.

Joe.......No need for cats to wash their paws. They clean them walking around on your kitchen counter tops and dining room table.

So true Dan. We try not to think of that though. That's kind of like wondering how many people didn't wash there hands after going to the restroom before opening that door you just opened. Another thought we try not to think of. All nasty....

...And cats love speaker grills! ...They eat them with their for breakfast!

Mac amps? They make their bed right on top of them! ...So much for ventilation!

I do love cats though; they're so cute.

My wife taught our previous dog to ring a bell when he wanted to go outside. She hung a bell from a handle on the front door. Every time it rang from him sniffing it or bumping into it, she called "outside, outside" and dragged him out the door. It didn't take him long to get the cause and effect of ringing that bell.

You could tell the difference between, hey I want to lie on the porch "ding", and I just woke up and have to go outside and pee, "ding, ding, ding, ding, ding".

Jim

Jack bangs on the door to go outside for a slash. The security door is left ajar & he pulls it open with his muzzle to come back inside, then it auto closes. He opens & closes most doors himself using his paw and muzzle.

If he has returned after doing a number 2, he lets us know by going into the bathroom & banging the toilet seat up & down with his muzzle. This is so we know to come in & check his backside just in case. We always wipe his bottom anyway & tell him he is a good dog & he loves to watch his paper being flushed away.

Jack can communicate his needs well & is quite vocal. Staffords do speak some language & understand lots! He is an indoor dog & he knows we like him to be a clean dog too. There are many other rules that he strictly abides by, like being banned from bedrooms, eating in designated areas, knowing his mat, keeping away from furniture & HiFi equipment. He never touches anything that is not his own. Staffords love to please & will do anything just to be inside & next to you. He can be trusted alone inside for up to 24 hours without any incident & knows by experience how to pace himself by sleeping & refraining from eating / drinking until we return. He is such a good boy & will be turning 13 soon. Jack loves listening to music too. I am lucky to have such an intelligent dog who is my best friend. Those that know Jack reckon he is a one of a kind...
