I don't watch movies more than once unless many years have passed.

I buy only music Blurays including concerts, opera and ballet. Unfortunately, I cannot rent them.

Streaming worked for me for a while via Blockbuster but sold out to Samsung.

I buy from Amazon if I know I'll watch more than once but mostly stream from Vudu. I find their streaming quality to be excellent (on Oppo 105), better than Netflix and far far better than Comcast On Demand which I use mostly for missed TV shows. I'm surprised no one else has mentioned Vudu, I'm very impressed by it.

I buy from Amazon or rent from Redbox or my local video store (yes, they still exist!)

The Video Station

I'll never understand why anyone who bothers to own a Blu-ray player would watch an "HD" stream; even the best have horrendously low bit rates.

I buy from J&R Music World, Oldies.com (from whom I just got some old TV shows on DVD: Combat!, Cheyenne and Police Squad!) Collector's Choice Music/Critic's Choice Video (same company), occasionally Best Buy, Heartland Music, and Daedalus Books.

Most of what I buy is music, with special interest and now old TV shows entering the mix.

There are so few movies that I will watch more than once that for the most part, I stream from Amazon, Netflix, Vudu and Hulu most of the time.

I recently upgraded to a Sony BluRay and that comes with some of their imbedded movie and music services through Sony Essentials. I haven't tested it much yet but it seems pretty nice.

What I don't like is Pandora coming to me in 5 channel stereo so I have some digging to do into the setup to default that to stereo.

I was a big customer of NetFlix for years and it toasts me to be tossed to the side in favor of the streaming crowd. I understand the business aspect - they cut their overhead by a ton by no longer dealing in physical media. But to not even offer discs at any price shows a disrespect for the loyal customers that put them where they are, IMO.

I've never tried the streaming options I get through Disc Network or direct from WiFi or the internet. I'm not even sure how all that works although my TV and BR player are both WiFi-ready. I just figured the reliability and quality wasn't there yet. I get all my DVDs from Amazon with that free shipping as a Prime Member.

If I really like a movie, I tend to watch it again a few days after the first time. Or if it's one of those confusing story lines where I didn't catch the importance of every word on the first play. But I do have a stack that I wish I had just saved my money on.

I use Netflix and still get DVDs. The ones that I like, I rip and store 'em on my media server to watch again later. I also take advantage of the streaming feature as well. In fact, just okay I streamed a thriller called The Awakening. Good movie.

I get most of my movies (and TV shows, and etc. and etc. and etc.) from NetFllix, and Amazon, and Hulu and dozens more "channels" via my ROKU box and streamed from the internet.

Sound and picture quality are usually excellent (1080p) and the variety and selections are astronomical. I seldom, if ever, turn on "regular TV", except for sports and local news. National and international news are both well covered by ROKU.

And, I don't think I've loaded a video disc of any kind into a disc player in 3-4 months.

ROKU (and I suppose Apple TV too) is an excellent way to see movies and to watch television.
